1-Image (25)I’m just some guy, you know.  Husband to a beautiful and tolerant woman.  Father to two wonderful boys.  On my way down the never ending path.

We live in between our thoughts of the past and our dreams of the future.  Both are illusions and the only true moment is the current one.  This affords us a great power to treat each moment as something completely new to be experienced for the first time without any preconceptions.  It is a process for me.  I tend to over analyze situations, but I am feeling myself being able to peel back from what I thought I was or what I think I will be to a sense of just being.

To me, the definition of being enlightened is being free from doubt.  It is movement with the moment instead of resistance.  A realization of oneness with everything.  We are a separate unique expression intimately tied with our surroundings.  There is truth everywhere that we look as long as we are open to receiving it.

A lot of my writing is influenced by Buddhist teachings.  I am not a Buddhist, but I definitely lean that way.  I find comfort in the words of the Buddha,  Lao Tzu, the Dalai Lama, Shunryu Suzuki, Alan Watts, Eckhart TolleNisargadatta Maharaj, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Sadhguru, and many others including many friends that I have made while blogging.  I also try to post on topics related to quantum physics since I feel that there is a link between that and our understanding of the universe and consciousness.  I subscribe to the belief that God is everywhere and that the creator of our world is inside of each of us.  I don’t care for the idea of an anthropomorphic God since I find that limiting, but I respect people that do since that is how they have come to terms with describing their God.

People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost.
DALAI LAMA

We are all on the same journey, but we are taking our own individual path to get there.  This blog is a representation of mine.  Feel free to explore and ask questions.  I try to be responsive on the post comments, but I get slack sometimes.  🙂

I also have a couple of companion sites where I post other things:

  • Micro Blog (Tumblr) – Pictures, quotes, thoughts, half-thoughts that somewhat go along with the posts on here.  I try to include links on my posts to related Tumbls.
  • Links (Delicious) – Subjects range from philosophy to science to whatever interests me
